Online Gaming is getting more popular each day, especially during this time when so many people are staying at home. I think it is a great way to reduce stress and to spend your free time.

My Uncle had a stroke a few years ago and his doctor recommended gaming to help him recover and train his brain. Also, I know numerous people who are lonely and bored at home, playing social games brings them lots of joy and keeps their minds sharp.

There are a number of psychological and social benefits from gaming. Some of the them include:

Improved Focus

No matter what game you play, you have to pay attention. It is a great way to improve your focus, which is also useful in the real world. It enhances your memory and the speed of your brain.

Creativity

A great deal of games require you to be creative and to think outside of the box. They require you to do lots of things at once, so that is why you can get better at multitasking.

Developing Social Skills

In group games you have to work together with other players. That way you learn how to be part of a team, to support others and to cooperate with other people.

Learn

There are plenty of educational games where kids can learn math or spelling in an enjoyable way.

Improve Vision

A study has shown that playing games can improve spatial resolution. Players see smaller details better than non players.

No matter what age you are, online gaming can be more beneficial to you than sitting in front of the TV the whole day.

I often play games when I want to get my mind off things or just have fun with my kids. We love to search together for games online. One awesome website that we discovered is plays.org. We are having lots of fun with the Zombie Typing, It is very entertaining and also educational. I really like that the games are without ads.

I believe when you play games the time just flies, an hour feels like a minute. It is a great way to make the time pass faster while you are waiting or riding a bus. It is especially an effective way to keep the kids entertained during a car drive.

One more benefit of gaming is that it inspires you to be persistent, I think every gamer can relate to that. You learn from your mistakes, and you don't give up that easily.

Have fun playing, and let me know in the comments below if you as well like online gaming.
