Many people have dry skin which requires special care as it is prone to many problems. Regular moisturizing is important on a daily basis to avoid such problems. Unfortunately most skin care products that are of good quality and actually work come with a hefty price tag but I have found a few solutions that are cost affective and are available to you right in your own home...These natural/home remedies are efficient and easy to use.





1. Drink lots and lots of water. Water is very important to your whole body it keeps you hydrated and it can alleviate dry skin.

2. Rub your skin with olive oil before taking a shower. The natural oils of the olive will keep your skin soft and won't allow water to dry it out.

3. A warm glass of milk mixed with some almond oil before bed time can work wonders for you skin.

4. Use humidifiers especially at night. If you have the air conditioner or heater on it will dry out the air in your home and leave your skin dry as well. Using a humidifier will help keep the moisture in.

5. Eating fish oils can alleviate dry skin. Salmon is not only rich in essential fatty acids but consuming it regularly will do wonders for your skin.

6.  Use natural soaps that do not contain harmful chemicals.  Doing so can make a big difference to dry skin.

7.  Mash up a banana and apply it to your face and neck, After some time wash it off with warm water.

8. Last but not least and a very important step is to get plenty of sleep.  Your body requires at least 8hrs of uninterrupted sleep.  Lack of sleep can really affect the skin.


Those are some home remedies that really do work.  I'm sure that there are plenty of others out there but i find that these 8 are very easy to do and can be done on a daily basis and won't put a dent in your wallet!
