Who doesn't like the smell of the holidays?!  Nothing like walking into a house that says Christmas is around the corner. With a warm scent of hot apple cider or cinnamon apples to make you feel cozy on a cold winter day. Of course you can go out and purchase some scented candles or some plugins but you can have those scents in a few easy DIY ways....

1) Boil some warm spices like cinnamon, allspice, clove, vanilla and nutmeg in a pot with water. Let it boil for a little while then turn the heat down to low and let it simmer to fragrant your whole house.

2) Pour a scented oil - such as clove and cinnamon- into a ziplock back add some pinecones to it and shake them around to coat. Once coated take them out onto a paper towel to drain and dry. Once drained place them anywhere in your home where you would like to have some added holiday scent.

3) If you have your fire going in your fireplace add some dried lemon or orange peels to it. This will give your home a slight citrus scent.

4) Last but not least ..... A live Christmas tree to give your home the natural scent of Christmas.
